Prospect Farm House

Overview

Through our Woodland Creation Grant we have created and established 1.06 hectares of mixed native broadleaf woodland, wood-meadow and traditional orchard at Prospect Farm House Ravenscar.

The scheme will improve woodland connectivity within the wider landscape. Compartments were planted with site-appropriate species of trees and shrubs that have been selected with landscape, biodiversity and climate resilience in mind.

Species that were planted included:

  • Alder
  • Aspen
  • Goat willow
  • Pedunculate oak
  • Wild cherry and more
