Health and wellbeing

A place to connect with yourself, the land and others

"We are a small, interconnected world; that we are all safe or none of us are; that we are all well cared for or all at risk" - Mary Pipher.

Here at the North York Moors National Park we’re on a mission. A mission to create a space where all life forms can thrive, where heritage is acknowledged and cared for, a place for people to be welcomed, nurtured, and inspired. To connect communities with nature and each other.

The world is not in the best shape at the moment both socially or environmentally, but we want to work together to create a space for all and to ensure a bright future for the landscape and people around us.

The concept of health and wellbeing comes in all shapes and sizes and can affect people differently. It can also be uplifted differently depending on the individual and resources available. Take a look at the things we’re doing and areas which may benefit you and the wider community.
