North York Moors National Park

North York Moors - Celebrating 60 years of being a National Park

What makes this a special place?

2012 is the year to visit the North York Moors. Forget the Olympics! 2012 is the 60th anniversary of the North York Moors National Park. So the National Park and the Queen will both be celebrating their Diamond Jubilees.

Don't miss our special 60th anniversary exhibition, Inspired Landscape, 13th May to 17th July which brings internationally renowned artists, William Tillyer, Len Tabner, Peter Hicks, Joe Cornish and Gillies Jones Glass, together in the Inspired by ... Gallery.

Buy the book, Inspired Landscape, from our online shop, now.

Can you help us? We are trying to trace former pupils of Thirsk and Easingwold schools who were involved in the Sutton Bank sculpture project in 1998. Please take a look at the sculpture page.
